Trupti Murgunde is one of the best badminton players from India in the womens' singles event. Trupti was born in Pune, and later shifted to Bangalore to hone her badminton skills at the Tata Padukone badminton academy. Trupti became the National Badminton champion in 2009. Her current world ranking is 90.
One of her achivements was winning the women's singles badminton title in the Yonex Czech International at Brno in Czech Republic in 2010.
